As part of Interreg funded GLOW 2.0 project and partner Údarás na Gaeltachta we bring you Irish Astronomy Week event in partnership with Joyce Country and Western Lakes Geopark Project and Connemara Dark Skies.

The event will consist of a workshop for businesses on marketing and sustainable opportunities around dark sky tourism given by Ged Dowling of Terra Firma, a tour company based in County Mayo offering stargazing tours. Following this, we will venture outside (weather permitting) on the new Leenane Village amenity park to explore our dark skies.

The event is free of charge and takes place Friday the 15th of March in Leenane Community Hall (Eircode : H91 X2P7) and we recommend that you park in Leenane village and walk up. It will start at 7pm and tea and coffee will be provided.
