THREADs partners meeting in Oulu

This week, the Oulu-based waste management company Kiertokaari Oy hosted a two-day meeting for THREADs partners on textile collection, sorting and developing international cooperation!

The event included visits to a local textile sorting plant, a workshop on challenges and opportunities for cooperation and mapping out future joint activities.

The challenges in cooperation around textile waste sorting, textile recycling and the social enterprises in textile circulation can truly be something to make one scratch their head. So, to tackle the questions, the THREADs project partners came together to figure out the areas where they can learn from each other, talking about the challenges of textile collection, textile overconsumption, consumer behavior and general attitudes towards pre-owned textiles.

Cooperation is definitely one of the most important aspects of project work, and we're all very grateful to get to meet our partners in fruitful and inspiring environments.
