The Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) Programme successfully held its Lead Partner and Communication Managers Seminar at University College Cork (UCC).

Hosted at UCC's iconic Aula Maxima Hall and the Cork Centre for Architectural Education (CCAE), the two-day seminar kicked off with a welcome reception on March 18th. Attendees were greeted by the University’s President and leadership team, enjoying an engaging evening with lively music and networking.

The core seminar on March 19th featured parallel sessions tailored to the needs of ongoing projects and new lead partners. Topics ranged from reporting and promoting outputs, understanding eligibility rules, and navigating State Aid, to exploring synergies with other programmes and enhancing community engagement through living labs.

One of the highlights of the event was the session on "Mission Reporting: Engaging Communities and Stakeholders through Living Labs," led by experts from UCC, including Dr. Jason Shaughnessy, Dr. Martin Galvin, Ciara O'Halloran, and Jedda Desmond. Attendees gained valuable insights into effectively connecting projects with communities and stakeholders.

The seminar concluded with a collaborative session on preparing for the upcoming Interreg NPA 25th Anniversary event, followed by a Q&A session with Desk Officers, RCPs, the Managing Authority, and communication helpdesk representatives.

"We are delighted to have participated in this dynamic seminar," remarked Dr Nick Timmons, Tech2Heal Project Lead and Director of the WiSAR Lab, ATU Donegal. "It was an excellent opportunity to network, exchange best practices, and strengthen our collaborative efforts across the NPA region."
