This spring, a fantastic group of small businesses worked on developing their own operations in six workshops of the program. The companies participating in the pilot phase of the business development program included: Aito Art Oy, Foto-Björndahl Ky KB, EcoHarmonia, Huoleton Oy, and Kultaamo Suulperi. The companies provided positive feedback on the program, which has helped them clarify their thinking in business or service development. The program's meetings delved into circular
economy, sustainability, business construction, company strategy mapping, ROI calculation, hypotheses and their formulation. In the last two sessions, the participants applied what they had learned in practice, and in the final session, the entrepreneurs pitched their ideas to a test audience.
The EU project Target Circular, funded by Interreg NPA and the Regional Council of Lapland, focuses on responsible business development. In Kokkola, the business development program was piloted with local business developers in the fall of 2023. Collaborators included the ELY Centre, the Chamber of Commerce, Entrepreneurs of Central Ostrobothnia, the Kaustinen sub-region, and Business Kannus.
The program is intended to be repeated semi-annually and is open to all companies. If you are interested in the program on responsibility or business development, please contact: pekka.pohjola@kosek.fi or hanna.tolli@centria.fi
