As part of the N-LITE Project, Karan Thompson (Cultural Enabler) and Imelda McCarron (Western Development Commission) hosted a group of enthusiastic Transition Year students from Inis Oírr at the PorterShed Galway on Tuesday.

The students participated in an Ideation Workshop and a Rapid Idea Improvement Session, focusing on developing creative concepts for Literary Tourism. Guided by the N-LITE team, these young innovators devised a range of exciting project ideas, demonstrating their enthusiasm and creativity throughout the day.

The workshop was a resounding success, with plenty of engagement from the youth group and inspiring contributions that could help shape the future of Literary Tourism in the region.

This initiative, supported by the Western Development Commission (WDC) and Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme, highlights the importance of involving young people in cultural and tourism development, sparking new ideas and fostering innovation.

We look forward to seeing how these ideas evolve and contribute to the ongoing success of the N-LITE Project!
