The event at CCAE, opened by Cllr. Dan Boyle, Lord Mayor of Cork, welcomed representatives from six European partner organisations. Dr Jason O'Shaughnessy and Project Manager Jose Ospina hosted the event, marking the start of a transformative collaboration for sustainable architectural innovation in Northern Europe.

Led by UCC, the initiative unites an international consortium of partners, including Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Finland), The Arctic University of Norway and the City of Bodø (Norway), Umeå University (Sweden), Green Building Council of Iceland, and Cork County Council.

Together, they aim to foster a circular, resource-efficient economy across the Northern Periphery and Arctic Region. The initiative aligns with the New European Bauhaus principles of sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion.
