Bauhaus Goes North

BAUHAUS Principles for the Northern Periphery & Arctic Region Context

What we do

The Bauhaus Goes North (BGN) project explores the latest approaches to participatory, sustainable, and inclusive co-design to support the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy in the Northern Periphery and Arctic region. The project builds on the principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), which highlights that both the way we build and what we build are part of broader natural and social systems. It promotes a new “Green Imaginary,” where circularity in architecture goes beyond just materials and construction to include a more holistic vision of sustainability.
