ASTRIC

Attract skills and talent through Regional Innovation Capacity insights

About ASTRIC

The ASTRIC project aims to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems for a green and just transition by addressing key capacity and skill needs. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify regional challenges in talent attraction, retention, and the green transition. By mapping the needs of policymakers, higher education institutions, and industry, the project uses the METRIC methodology to select relevant indicators and data sources for fast demonstrations. The goal is to create tailored solutions that have a lasting impact on these ecosystems. Capacity building and joint learning are central to the project, with workshops and collaborative sessions focused on developing systematic evaluation methods and tools. These activities bring together stakeholders, such as science parks and municipalities, to share best practices and measure innovation ecosystem outcomes. This collaborative approach enhances understanding and encourages long-term cooperation. The project also adapts and scales up these evaluation methods, working with stakeholders to create frameworks for transferring solutions to different regional contexts. The aim is to improve decision-making, policy development, and resource allocation, ensuring lasting collaboration and impact beyond the project.
