Partner search event in Cork strengthens Interreg Arctic Cooperation

On 20 March 2025, 84 participants gathered at the Cork Centre for Architectural Education for the Interreg Arctic Cooperation clustering call partner search event.

The event provided an opportunity for project partners to meet in person to connect, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration opportunities under the Clustering Call opening for applications on 8th September 2025, and closing on 6th October 2025.

A well-rounded day

The day featured engaging project pitches on SME competitiveness, research and innovation, and climate change adaptation. Participants also had the chance to network during a speed dating session and one-on-one meetings with the Interreg Aurora and Interreg NPA staff.

A key highlight was the exhibition showcasing all Interreg NPA and Aurora projects, which remains available for students at the Cork Centre for Architectural Education.

The event concluded with a memorable boat tour of Cork Harbour, the second-largest natural harbour in Europe. One participant shared: "I enjoyed meeting all the different projects. The boat trip was a great opportunity to talk and also have an experience. It was generally a nice event with a good mood and nice opportunities to meet people from other contexts."

Next steps potentially include a series of online thematic webinars.

Participants are also encouraged to join the LinkedIn group to find project partners and share project ideas with the Interreg NPA and Aurora secretariats for further support in building partnerships.
