The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe and is organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

In 2024, EUSEW takes place in a hybrid format, online and onsite in Brussels, on 11-13 June. Follow the event live.

The theme of the event is ‘Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe’.  The European Sustainable Energy Week consists of a 3-day Policy Conference, the European Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony, the Energy Fair and the fifth edition of the European Youth Energy Day.

Interreg NPA projects contributing to Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe

Interreg NPA projects Copower, Hybes and NoBicc cooperate to help increasing and improving the way people use renewable energy, and how they can reduce greenhouse gasses emissions.

Copower uses technology to link small energy systems, making them work together like a large power station to balance electricity supply and demand. It shows how communities can produce their own energy, increasing local control and cooperation.

The HYBES partnership is exploring hybrid energy systems integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage technologies to provide sustainable energy solutions for Arctic communities.

The Nobicc project is preparing guidelines for sustainable climate change adaptation for existing and future buildings located in different climatical zones in the arctic and subarctic areas.

These projects are part of a group of Interreg projects being presented at the EUSEW as part of the Thematic Working Group for a Greener Europe lead by Interact.

Watch this video of Copower partners introducing the project.
